right now this is as "dumb" as just expanding away from the pivot, but i expect to be able to transform the geometry in the direction of the vertex normal with a bit of wizardry. but if we dont need to do that then i wont bother trying it since itd be more expensive. this is pretty cheap, if you were wondering.

ReplyDeleteincidentally, got expanding along vertex normals to work too, and its actually cheaper, which is awesome. now we can bulge all kinds of fun shapes! blobs on the side of stuff can expand or whatever. and just thought of a way to have roots have a rippling bulge flow along them... if we want any of that craziness.
